Packaging design

1) The rectangular packaging is the original packaging whereas the cylinder shape packaging is my friend's group design. They have modified the packaging into a smaller size so as to make it easier to take and can save more space to put it as well.

2) The new packaging have given the more informations to the people as the more pictures show that the results of taking the sweets when they get throat ache but it is not be shown on the original packaging. It is very important to let the people clearly know about the functions of one thing so that they will not misuse it.

3) This is my group's packaging design. The red colour is dominant in the original packaging and it is not so attractive to the other people. So, we have changed it to the more colourful packaging. Even though our packaging is not as fine as the original packaging, but we use more colours so that it can be more attractive.

4) Since this is the hand made packaging, we just use the cellophane tape to stick on the back side of the packaging. The benefit of this packaging is that the handle is added at the top in order to make it easily to hold.

5) The new packaging design for '' Duck's Nuts '' by other groups. They have changed its name to '' Quack's Nuts ''. This is a good try as there is a difference with the original packaging design.

6) This is the different sides of the '' Quack's Nuts '' packaging. The top is more special as the shape seems the flower. In additional, a duck is drawn beside the packaging so that the people still can know that it is '' Duck's Nuts '' even though its names is changed to '' Quack's Nuts '' already.

7) Bluebird brand potato chips but there is not any bluebird except the penguin! It is so weird as the '' bluebird '' is holding the potato chip and running! This is what we see at the original packaging. Finally, the packaging is modified in a new way as the '' bluebird '' is covered almost the packaging and it is not holding the potato chip and running. In other words, it looks more normal.

8) The new packaging is made into the cylinder shape with the handle on the top so it is quite convenient to take it. Furthermore, there has a zip at the packaging body so that the people can easily take out the potato chips.

9) The new design packaging is a bit bigger than the original packaging. But I preferred the original packaging as the yellow colour on the original packaging shows that these are the potato and the potato stick. In other words, the colours are very important in every design even it is just a simple design.

10) Yik Kuen is one of my group members is explaining about her impression to the packaging design by our group in front of the classroom. By this, I get the reflection that the packaging design is very important nowadays and it is a must to put a lot of effort on the design. As an art student, we have to enhance our knowledges about art and design in order to help ourselves on our design work. By other saying, no house is built in one days we need to learn how to design on thing step by step but not by the short cut way.

 

Objects with face

1) I found that just beside the financial counter. A cute smiling face was shown by the telephone as the two screws were assumed as the eyes whereas the telephone wire was assumed as the smiling mouth.

2) This was the side part of the NAFA library scanner. The clearly 'face' could be seen at the scanner and this was the extra ordinary 'face' as there were two pairs of the eyes and three mouths. However, it was not terrible for me and I felt that the part was quite funny.

3) This was my first time to see the 'yellow eyes' with words. That was really funny and creative 'eyes'. In additional, the mouth was extremely big that I seemed waiting somebody to approach it and swallow the people.

4) The up-side-down face looked like a bat that was sleeping at that moment and it disallowed another people to disturb it during its sleeping time. Have a sweet nightmare !

5) The 'face' looked more special compared to others due to it was performed by three different kinds and unrelated objects together.

6) The thing was not strange to us and we could see it in our daily life. The tree important parts on the plug looked like the face that with ' golden pair of eyes' and 'golden mouth'. By this, I realised that art can be easily adapted, found and performed on an even ordinary object.

7) Oh my God! The ' alien' was existing in NAFA! Most of its parts especially the eyes, mouth and tongue were extremely black in colour. It looked terrible and let the people scared of it.

8) A funny face on the office door. It seemed preparing to say 'welcome' or 'hi' to those who approached it. What a nice door existed in NAFA!

9) Somebody's art work was displayed beside the corridor. It was an abstract arts work as sometimes it looked like the log with many holes but sometimes it seemed an ugly ghost face with multiple of eyes and mouths and abnormal shape of face. Yuck !

10) A pair of dragon eyes and nose are shown on the necklet. Obviously, it is a Chinese style necklet.

 

Crazy moment

1) This photo was taken at the last week Creative Thinking lesson. Pallavi was one of my group
     members and she was chosen to be the monster as she needed to dress up herself with our help by
     using the materials,  for example trash beg, egg trays, ropes and others. She was sacrificed for us !

2) Yik Kuen, our class chairman normally with the tidy hair and fashion clothing now had changed to
     another look with the messy hair and weird dressing. Her face seemed that she didn't what to do
     and she looked innocent as well. Luckily, she still can smile and enjoy it even though her look had
     totally changed and different with her usual look.

3) Zhao Wen was dressed up to be a monster with the gigantic shark head. It totally closed both of her
     eyes and she was quite tough to move around there. The shark head was designed by Sze Min and
     made by her another group members by using the mahjong paper. What a creative design although
     it looked ordinary.

4) Fuji was helping Hazel Seah to dress up herself. She looked more happier then Hazel Seah as she
    kept on laughing at the moment she dressed up Hazel Seah. It was almost done after 1 hour.

5) Finally, it was done! She looked more like dinosaur as the egg tray was used to make as her
    headdress. Hazel Seah waited patiently for the presentation.

6) This guy is Adrain who was dressed up in a funky way as well. He didn't feel embarrassing from
     the beginning to the end even his look was truly extraordinary. The ropes with different colours
     were used in order to make his hair longer since he didn't have the long hair like girls.

                                                
7) For this week Creative Thinking lesson, we went to Singapore Art Museum which was just located
     in front of Bras Basah MRT station. We were asked by Ms Khim to find the thing which was 
     called as '' shaggy'' in the museum  regarding the task that she gave us. This was what shaggy
     hair looked like. This was my first time to see the hair such big and long like this. I really got 
     shock when I saw it.

 8) This sculpture is called as '' Cycle''. It was made by the rattan in traditional way. The shape and
      design were quite amazing. It really attracted me to take photo. When the light are on it, there was
      a shade reflected on the wall behind it.

9) I took a relax, enjoying myself by lying on the marshmallow bed. It was quite comfortable!

10) My friend pulled me up after i enjoyed the marshmallow bed. At the same time, she helped me
      taking the photo as well.

11）The last photo I took in the museum before I leaf there. Hope that I could visit it on next time.

Funny creative thinking lesson

1) Again the Creative Thinking lesson. For this week Monday lesson , every group of students were 
    asked by Ms Khim to build our tower by using the spaghetti which were prepared by her and put
    only one marshmallow on the top of the tower. We were on the way to build our tower.

2) Wow ! What a sweet photo ! Alvin and Jing Wen helped each other to build the tower. They looked
     like a couple even though they were not actually.

3) This guys is Amin who was same group with me most of the time for other subjects, including the
     Creative Thinking lesson. By seeing this picture, what was attracted by my sight was his serious
     face! I never saw him serious such like that before.

4) Both Amin and Alvin were discussing the structure of the tower. They thought some good relevant
     ideas to make it better and nicer at the same time. Good try!

5) Actually, I wanted to take the photo with the tower. But, when I arranged the photos that I had
    taken on Monday Creative Thinking lesson, I noticed the above photo that Wang Ke Yue just kept
    on playing his iPhone 5. The time was so long as she spent about 30 minutes looking her phone.

6) Finally, our group successfully built the tower. In additional, the marshmallow also put on the top
    of the tower without falling down even once.

7) I took photo of the tower which was done by my group members with different perspective.

8) Another fascinated photo for me. Alvin's facial expression was quite funny! I laughed for this
    photo almost the whole day. I was a bit wonder that why Alvin showed this expression when he
    looked at the tower with the marshmallow on the top. He seems like very hungry when looking at
    marshmallow and was quite desire to have it. What a cute man !

9) Zi Yi was so shy when she asked by Ms Khim to stand on the blue chair in order to eat the
    marshmallow on the top of the tower. Her face was very blush at the movement she did it.

10) Ms Khim was laughing at the other group volunteers to eat the marshmallow by standing on the
      chair. It was not a hard nut to crack to see Ms Khim laughing in the class. I liked to see her 
      laughing face and hear her laughing sound.

11) The 3 left hand side towers were done by the other groups. They'll were quite special in structure
       due to the creative thinking of every group. All the groups truly adapt their creative ideas in their
       work and these always satisfied by Ms Khim.

12) I was taking photo with my group members at the end of the lesson. Our photographer was Alvin.
      The photo was not perfect as Ke Yue and Jing Wen didn't look at the camera. However, I was
      never mind for this. What the important was that we truly enjoy ourselves during the lesson for
      building the tower by using the spaghetti.

















    

My life , My everything

1) I really like to buy new arrival fashion t-shirts , skirts and others at Singapore Zalora website. So,
    when I saw there was a lot of Zalora voucher outside the NAFA Office of Student Affairs , I took 
    it up to 10 vouchers. 

2) My grandaunt's maid prepared Hokkaido abalone soup with dried scallops and dried oysters for my 
     dinner. It really tasted delicious and sweet. The taste of the abalone soup still be remembered in
     my mind until today. I will never forget about the taste !

3) This is Philippine dessert and the first time my grandaunt prepared it for me. It was made by using
    pomelo, nuts, sliced banana and condensed milk. It is truly a healthy dessert as it sweetness is
    moderate for me. When I went back to my home at Malaysia , I did the same dessert for my family
    and most of them satisfied with the dessert taste.

4) I always cooked green bean soup for my family members in Malaysia as well as my grandaunt's 
     family in Singapore since the whether in both countries was extremely hot especially it came to 
     afternoon time. I preferred the green bean soup which is cooked by myself compared to the green 
     bean soup at hawker centre because it was cheaper, healthier and tastier. I was usually asked by
     them to cook this dessert and I was willing to do this too.

5) Have you see this dessert before? Yes , it is banana ice-cream with Tic Tac toppings! I and my
    group members, including Alvin, Amin and Ke Yue drew this during the Creative Thinking class
    for this week lesson.

6) We also drew this dessert which was banana satay with banana ketupat and Tic Tac sauce. We were
     laughing while drawing this dessert because it was quite extraordinary! We couldn't believe that it
     could be a dessert.

7) One more dessert out of 50 desserts, banana mooncake and Tic Tac cheesecake. By our creative
    thinking, this drawing was done as I gave the idea to draw the picture and Alvin who was the guy
    drew this dessert.

8) Our group menu came out eventually with 3 creative, funny, crazy as well as the extraordinary
    desserts. We all satisfied with our creative ideas and drawing. We tried our best for doing this
    group work.

9) Oh my God! I hurt both of my fingers in one time when I did my sculpture for the 3D Fundamental
    lesson! It was truly quite pain and I couldn't bear my feeling when getting hurt by the dip wires. I
    would be careful on next time for doing this kind of work.

10) I dropped my Seiko watch onto the floor and it was broken down at the end. I was very sad when
      I saw that it was out of function.

11) I was rushing with my 2D Fundamental homework. Actually,it was not a hard nut to crack to do
      but it really need a very long time to be done as I spent almost whole day to finish it.

12) This was my first time to borrow the book from NAFA library. I had borrowed the book which
       was called Louis Vuitton: Art, Fashion and Architecture to search some informations about the
       fashion designer, Louis Vuitton in order to do my assignment, Online Passages_01 for the
       Introduction to Visual Arts lesson. To be very honest, this book really help me very much on my
       way to do my work.

13) I was on my way doing my Online Passage_01 and this was a must to submit it onto BlackBoard
      before the deadline.

14) My 2D Fundamental lecturer, Mr Chong Wee Keat was teaching us about how to make different
      tones by using one colour. This was quite helpful for me when I wanted to use the colour for my
      drawing.

15) I took rest at NAFA student lounge after the whole day class in my school. At there, i could do
      whatever I liked, for instance eating, sleeping, chating with my friends. Lastly, the most important
      was that it was a nice place to take selfie!
